Jace and Clary - A Place Called Home

Jace and Clary from 'The City of Fallen Angels', chapter 13, from Cassie Clare's amazing series "The Mortal Instruments".
Scene takes place in the Silent City.
"Clary, you were right. This isn't coming from inside of me. Something is *doing* this to me. To us. You know what that means? If I can be...cured...then I don't have to be afraid of myself when I'm around you anymore. I'd spend a thousand nights in the Silent City for that."
She leaned forward...and kissed him, a quick press of her lips against his. "I\'ll be back," she whispered. "Tomorrow night after the Ironworks party, I'll come back and see you."
The hopefulness in his eyes was enough to break her heart. "Maybe I'll be cured by then."

Done in pen and Copics. I find Copics fantastic for blending and achieving that wonderful realistic skin-tone.

This piece was inspired by PJ Harvey's song "A place called home":[link] It's a wonderful song from one of my favourite female artists that resonates perfectly with the situation Jace and Clary find themselves in at this particular point, but also with the overall feel of this amazing book.
